PAWLING, N.Y. - Karl A. Seehaus, 85, passed away July 19, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY. A former resident of Woodhaven, Queens, he has been a resident of Pawling since 1961. Born in Germany on February 22, 1928, he was the son of Karl and Mary (Manger) Seehaus, and husband of the former Eleonore Kolloge. Karl worked as a tool and die maker for Lumelite in Pawling until his retirement. Karl enjoyed playing tennis at the former Holiday Hills in Pawling, and enjoyed his vegetable gardens; he was famous among his family and friends for his potatoes, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Karl is survived by his wife, Eleonore; his son Lothar Seehaus and his wife, Joan Curley, of Plymouth, MA and daughter, Elinor Bosworth and her husband, Patrick, of Hopewell Junction, NY; four grandchildren, Karl Seehaus of Sarasota, FL, Melissa Stearns and her husband, Scott, of Venice, FL, Marin Curley of Hyannis, MA, and Christopher Bosworth and his Fiancee, Elisabeth, of Hopewell; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob and Tanner Stearns; Elaine and Arya Bosworth and Tiernan Seaboldt.
